About Cozy Game Guide
Cozy Game Guide is a small, independent site about cozy and simulation games — the relaxing, low-stress kind you play to unwind: farming sims, life sims, gentle building and management games, and everything in the same warm, wholesome corner.
Why we made this
Cozy games are having a moment, and there are more of them than ever. That's wonderful — and a little overwhelming. A new farming sim seems to launch every week, half of them are in early access, and it's genuinely hard to tell which ones are worth your evening and which will just sit unplayed in your library.
Our job is to cut through that noise. We want to help you find a game worth your time, decide whether it's worth your money, and get unstuck when you need a hand — so you spend less time researching and more time actually relaxing.
What you'll find here
- Recommendations — hand-curated lists by platform, mood, and budget ("games like Stardew Valley," "best cozy games on Switch," "best cozy games under $20").
- Reviews — honest, spoiler-light verdicts on whether a game is worth it, with a clear score and the trade-offs spelled out.
- Guides — beginner-friendly tips so you spend less time stuck and more time relaxing.
- Resources — a searchable game library with our scores and live prices, plus mods, gift guides and cozy gear round-ups.
Who's behind it
Cozy Game Guide is written and run by a tiny team of people who genuinely love this genre and have spent an embarrassing number of hours in these little towns and valleys. We're players first: we play the games we write about, we have strong opinions about crop layouts and fishing minigames, and we aim to give the kind of practical, friendly advice we'd give a friend who asked "what should I play next?"
How we work
Every recommendation is based on the actual experience of playing — never on who pays the most. We explain exactly how we choose, play, score and update the games we cover in our Editorial Policy & how we review. The short version: our opinions aren't for sale, our scores are honest, and we keep our most useful articles up to date.
Our promise
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. That support helps keep the site running and free to read, but it never changes our honest opinion. You can read the full affiliate disclosure any time.
